Work is a reproduction of an original painting of Winton, Wyoming, oneof the original Coal Camps in Sweetwater County. Titled Winton, Wyoming 1942, the painting shows the main street of Winton along with the show hall, pool hall and Union Pacific store in the center with other homes and buildings surrounding it. The bottom left is labeled Winton, Wyoming 1942 while the bottom right has an block singnature of the artist Don Travis and the date it was paintined, Travis '75. |

Painting was based on a photograph taken by Beverly Dood Evanoff from her front porch in Winton. The original paiting is owned by Margaret and Elizabeth Strannigan. A photo of it was taken by Larry Caller to have this print made for Joe Black. It was then given to Louie Shifrar and then donated to the Museum. |
