The inside of the bowl is yellow with a flash colored dragon and a multicolored bird with long green feathers, The bowl is in the shape of a dianond and has scallops in places The bottom of the bowl has pink flpwers and the bottom of the base has six red Chinese characteers with the word "China" below it. |

This is an antique Chinese famille Jaune yellow style dragon and phoenix. Bowl likely made in the early 1900's. It has a diamond shape with mythical dragon and Fenghua or Phoenix design representing Emperor and Empress. The bottm base has an apocryphal , six Red Chinese Characters Qianlong (1736 - 1795). Dynasty reign mark which is honorific only since it was made much later. The mark "CHINA" was added in order for the bowl to be exported to the USA. Estimated Value $300 - 500. |
